As we get started on this journey together, I want you to know that you have the potential to meet all your health and fitness goals. It won’t be easy and it’ll take some effort, but you can succeed! It important to understand that your journey is unique and you can’t follow the exact mold that was made for someone else. You are one of a kind.
I decided to make exercise and better food choices a way of life, not just a quick fix. However, for me, it was never about a certain number on the scale or a dress size. It is about my health and doing everything that I can to prevent and reduce my risks for diseases, such as heart disease and stroke. A few years ago, I was prescribed medication for high blood pressure and it was hard for me to accept at first. I was not overweight and I was actively exercising multiple times a week. However, I was frequently stressed and really not making healthy food choices. To add to that I also had hereditary risk factors that weren’t in my favor.
It was then that I made the decision that I needed to STOP and really take care of me. I needed to take care of me for myself and my family. Often times, especially women, we take care of everyone else while neglecting self. We are silent about our health needs and pretend they don’t exist.
Your Health Matters
I want to tell you that your health needs matter and they do exist. It is okay to make a goal to lose weight, exercise, make healthier food choices, and more! I understand that whether you are a busy stay at home mom or a busy business owner, life gets busy. That is why I created this space in this little corner of the Internet to connect with busy women who want to focus on their health and fitness goals, in the comfort of their own home or office.
