Drink More Water. Water is essential to the body and helps you in many ways. Such as promoting energy, weight loss, and healthier skin. Drinking more water throughout the day and at meals helps reduce hunger by creating a full sensation.
Avoid frying foods. The way that you prepare your food is important. When cooking your food it determines how the nutrients are maintained. Baking, grilling, or steaming foods are better than frying. These methods help preserve the nutritional value more.
Pack Your Lunch. Preparing your own lunch gives you total control of what you eat. You decide the portions and how it is cooked. This allows you to choose foods that are within your calorie and diet goals. This is a great way to avoid foods that you may find tempting, such as those in vending machines and fast food restaurants.
Eat something green. Eating green leafy vegetables daily is an excellent way to add vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to your meals. They can be easily added to most meals, ,and often don’t require cooking. Some that I recommend the most because of their versatility are spinach, broccoli, and kale. Leave some food on the plate. Most meals prepared by restaurants exceed the recommended serving size for one person. This often leads to overeating and consuming too many calories. The best way to reduce portion size is to not eat all of the food. A carry out box is a great option for the extra food to eat at another meal.
